Eitz Chayim, 2013
Congregation Shaarei Tefillah, Newton

Tova and The MEM Project (including assistant artists Sarah Magaril and Ada Aroneanu) partnered with Shaarei Tefillah in Newton to work with their community to design and paint a mural inspired by Tu B'Shvat (the Jewish holiday celebrating trees) and Eitz Chayim (tree of life). Over 100 participants of all ages engaged in the process including a brainstorming/learning workshop to generate ideas, and two days of painting to turn their ideas into a cohesive mural to be enjoyed for many years to come.
