Art Therapy

If you and/or your child are looking to explore a new perspective, are feeling “stuck” in an area of your life, are motivated to make a change, or are just feeling like you could use some extra support, therapy might be a beneficial next step.

Finding the right therapist, someone you trust to support you and to challenge you as needed, is crucial for effective growth and positive outcomes. Therapy always works best when you find someone with whom you can build a therapeutic relationship to help motivate, set goals, and succeed.

As a licensed mental health counselor and art therapist, my style is motivational, strength-based, and solution-focused. It also balances humor and playfulness with supportive, challenging, and direct feedback. I believe that everyone has the inherent strength, ability, and resiliency to succeed in life, but may sometimes need additional support to uncover and engage those qualities within themselves.

Pending client interest, I often utilize art therapy in my work, especially with adolescents. One does not have to be “good at art” to participate. I have found through my experience that engaging in the creative process can not only be therapeutic in and of itself, but on a deeper level it can also serve as a window into exploring feelings and thoughts that are not as easily discussed through verbal therapy.

I will work with you and/or your child to find a style that works best with your needs and interests, and hope to empower you with the support you need to move forward in a positive direction.

*I am fully vaccinated (and boosted) and am offering in-person sessions or telehealth as preferred.

Fees

  • Individual Session
  • 50 Minute Session $160

  • Family Session
  • 60 Minute Family Session $185

For out of network insurance benefits, PPO or medical flex spending accounts, I will gladly provide a receipt /statement of services that you can submit for reimbursement.

Sliding fee scale available based on financial need.

One business day's notice is required for cancelled sessions, except in the case of an emergency. Because sessions cancelled with short notice are hard to fill, the charge for the missed session with less than one business day's notice will be $50.00 unless the hour can be filled.

The fee for returned checks is $35.00.

Emergency Services and Additional Support

Clients who require emergency medical or psychiatric services should go directly to a hospital Emergency Room and/or call 911. For other out-of-session support, I check my voicemail daily and return all calls within one business day.

I look forward to hearing from you so we can begin a conversation to explore whether our working together would be a good fit for you and/or your child.
