I was invited by Cindy Rivka Marshall to bring students and older adults together for a series of intergenerational art workshops focused on themes of community. 6th grade students from Temple Shir Tikvah of Winchester joined residents at Atria Longmeadow Place as part of the Better Together Intergenerational Project funded by the Legacy Heritage Fund. participants found inspiration as they worked together to create a visual representation of intergenerational community creativity. Residents had the opportunity to partner with students to paint colorful papers as they built connections, discovered connections, and shared ideas about how they can better the world at their ages.

In one canvas, the theme of generations is explored through the lens of trees - building strength in the rings of the wood. The second canvas explores the theme of connections through the four elements of water, earth, fire, and air, all coming together to create a whole.
