Artist Reflection: It was early spring 2020 - mindful walks to get me out of my head, noticing my surroundings waking up. Is there more to this than mother nature doing her thing? Is there a larger message for all of us? I sure hope so............

Artist Reflection: Nature has always been a source of calm for me. Receiving a photograph of spring flowers in full bloom only seemed appropriate! Quarantine with 3 fledglings has been an exercise in finding balance and gratitude.

Artist Reflection: In A New Day Blooms, I sought to explore the connection between gratitude and nature. Whether it's afternoons gazing dreamily out the window or taking meandering walks through my neighborhood, I feel especially drawn to the beauty and optimism of the Spring blooms this year. Nature can be a healthy reminder that things can continue grow and blossom even after the harshness of winter. And that's something I feel thankful for.

Artist Reflection:
Spring blossoms rising
Skyward while strong branches hold firm
Tying us to earth

Link 6: Cyclical, Hoop Dance submitted by Michelle Rothberg (Rainbow Rotations)

Artist Reflection: The previous piece was entitled "Grounding," so I was inspired to create this piece outside, and include floor work. It is vital that we connect with the Earth, with each other, and within ourselves.

Note: this is best viewed in tandem with the music link above. The video begins when the music is 20 seconds in. Click play on the music, let it ground you for the first 20 seconds, then click play on the video. The video ends with 20 seconds left of the music so that you end with just the music, similar to how you began.

Link 7: Continuous flow lives in us submitted by Anna Dalnes

Artist Reflection: The Hoop Dance, “Cyclical,” is a hopeful piece to me. The smooth movement of the dancer, in partnership with the unending circle, reminds me that we can always step back into our own flow, again and again. And that this can support us as we move through challenges.
