Artist and Art Director: Tova Speter

The Art Connection faciliates the donation of original artwork into qualifying nonprofit organizations. We represent more than 150 artists and wanted to create an art piece composed of materials from those artists connected to us, plus materials by additional artists in the Boston area. After sending out a call for old brushes that have been used in the creative process, we assembled the brush and wire creation for display at the Artists' Ball at the Boston Center for the Arts in April 2006. The resulting piece, made up of over 800 brushes and now permanently installed at the BCA, is representative of the great number of Boston area artists and the tools that have helped them create art. Our goal was to transform that which created fabulous works of art into a fabulous work of art itself.
